Is a pediatrician at The Mount Sinai Medical Center and a child health researcher at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She completed a combined BS/MD program at Stevens Institute of Technology and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2001 and completed her pediatrics residency at the Children’s Hospital of New York, Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in 2004. She serves on many committees including the East Harlem Child Health Committee, the Strategic Alliance for Health, the IMPACT Diabetes Center and the NICHQ Childhood Obesity Action Network. She currently provides clinical care for pediatric patients and helps train pediatric residents at Mount Sinai. In addition, she is funded by the American Academy of Pediatrics, Empire Clinical Research Investigator Program (New York State), and a Mount Sinai Community Engaged Research Project grant to do research in the areas of childhood asthma and obesity, diet, physical activity, health disparities and community based health interventions for children and adolescents.
