
Healthy Choices. Eating healthy doesn't mean a strict diet or harsh rules, but a good balance and variety of foods that provide all the right nutrients you need to stay healthy. Our program teaches kids to make smart choices about food and to think critically about what is healthy versus not-so-healthy.
The key words are balance and variety. We explore ways to make sure that we eat the right foods that provide all the essential vitamins and minerals, without an over load on excess fats and sugars.
Through frequent food tastings, (purchased in each schools' neighborhood) we facilitate the learning of ways to adopt healthier options within the diverse cultures we serve.
